Annual Tech Fest –“Unplugged-2018”

The Khaitan School, Noida hosted its eighth Annual Tech fest Unplugged 8.0 on May 04, 2018. Mr. Anand Prakash, Founder and Architect, Foundation for Full Potential , inaugurated the fest in the school auditorium. Some of the 24 schools participated were Apeejay School, Noida, Somerville School, Noida , Vishwa Bharti Public School, Noida ,Cambridge School, Noida, DPS, Noida, Amity International School, Mayur Vihar. The events were IT Quiz, Symposium on “Is Data Sharing, Security & Privacy a Myth?”, Web Weaving, Virtual Canvas-Design a music album cover, Game On, Cipher Crossword, Turtle War, Robotics-Manual and autonomous and Picasso. Around 300 students competed for the coveted prizes. Mr.Prakash congratulated the members of the DEM club on making an amazingly creative video and appreciated the management for initiating this fantastic way of learning. He urged the participants to think what they could do with IT and to enhance the scope of their thinking as it’s a new canvas and a new medium of thinking. He wanted the new generation to be tech savvy but not tech addicts as it took away natural thinking. He also explored a different perspective to the name of the event ‘Unplugged’ and name of the club ‘DEM’ and advised the audience to learn to unplugg in order to get plugged once again.
Master Ishaan Gupta, President IT club, in his speech highlighted the milestones the club had achieved over the years and Principal, Mrs. D. Kaur congratulated the Head of Department of Computer Science, Mrs.Poonam Mehta and her department on the excellent orgainsation and smooth running of the event and also boosted the morale of the participants.

Mrs. S.L. Gupta congratulated and applauded the prize winners on their excellent performance and gave away the prizes.The overall winners trophy was bagged by Somerville School, Noida and the Runners up Trophy was bagged Apeejay School, Noida.
