Gandhi Jayanti, Dussehra and Birthday Celebrations

Pre-Primary celebrated Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti on 28th September’17 in the school Auditorium. A Special Assembly was conducted on this occasion. The little ones celebrated the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi by remembering his teachings and principles. The participants were dressed up in white traditional dress to symbolize peace, Gandhi’s main principle. He was portrayed as a matchless political leader who led the nation to freedom. His favourite devotional song “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram” was sung by little ones. The moral depicted by the three wise monkeys were shared amongst children to inspire them to speak no evil, hear no evil and see no evil in their daily lives.Dussehra is an important festival in India which is largely celebrated by the Hindus. It celebrates the victory of good over evil. To mark this occasion the little ones spoke a few lines about the festival. It was followed by a small enactment on the significance of the festival. The little ones took to role play and wonderfully depicted each character of Ramayana on the stage.

The birthdays of children born in the month of September were also celebrated. The day was made special for them by singing the birthday song in the class. The rooms were decorated with balloons and streamers. Story books were given as a token of love. Cake cutting on this special day made the children happy and filled them with excitement and happiness.
