The Installation ceremony of the Interact members of The Khaitan School was held on Aug.23, 2019.President Rotary Club Noida, Rtn Ram Grovher, Mrs.Shrmila Grover,.Major Dalbir Singh, Chairman Youth Services, Major General Sunil Kumar (Retd.) and other distinguished Rotarians did the honours of presenting the badges to the office bearers and the new Interact members.
Principal, Mrs.D. Kaur welcomed the guests and presented them with herbal saplings. In her address she stated that the need of the hour was to make students aware of their responsibilities and mould them into awakened citizens. Rotary Club was doing a commendable task by taking their movement down to the level of involving the school students.
Mrs.Bindu Gupta, Incharge Interact Club in her report, apprised the audience of the milestones achieved during the year 2018-19.
Rtn.Ram Grovher, in his address, blessed and welcomed the new Interactors. He complimented the teachers and Interactors on the disciplined and smooth flow of events. He motivated Interact Club President Tanoushka Rawat and promised his support towards the various projects. He was thankful to the school management for their support during Blood Donation Camp. He expressed his vision by reciting a Hindi couplet.
A Qawalli “Chaap Tilak sab cheeni” creatively composed by Mrs.Ruba Munshi and Mr.Kamlesh Pandey left the audience spell bound. An Odissi classical dance rendition by Mridula Naik and Chetna Shankar captivated the hearts of the audience.
Rtn Major Dalbir Singh, Director new Generation motivated the interactors and urged them to be ready to help their country and in turn help the mother earth. He suggested some simple and workable ways to save water. He urged the students to express gratitude and thankfulness for everything.
Maj.Gen.Sunil Kumar(Retd.), in his motivational speech, spoke about his 3 mantras –‘Love yourself, love your country and love the Armed Forces’. He wanted students to remain healthy and in turn work for the betterment of their country and to inculcate the values of discipline, pride, dedication and sacrifice of Armed Forces.
To start the year’s project, a rally ‘Say No To Tobacco’ was flagged off by the distinguished guests and the Principal. Around 80 students, including interactors and club council members, participated in the rally. It was well received by the onlookers.
