RAJASTHAN FOLK ARTIST AT THE KHAITAN SCHOOL

The Khaitan School under the aegis of Spic Macay organized a Rajasthani Folk performance of UstadRehmat Khan Langaji and his team comprising of his son Shri Anwar Khan Langa., ShriAlhabakshji and others.

Langaji started his mesmerizing performances by a classical folk song “Jhalo Bilalo Hamaro” composed in RaagKhamaj. Their song “Kesaria Balma Padaro Mare Desh” , “MorniBhaga Ma Bole” left the student audience captivated with the lyrics which are typical to the tradition of Rajasthani folk music.

In a short- time period Langaji taught the students his self-composed song “Haanji Re Bani” which would soon be on youtube.

He culminated the performance by the ever popular “Nimbuda Nimbuda”

Principal Mrs. D. Kaur welcomed the artist with bouquets and complimented the team for their passion and love for the tradition and the rich culture of India.
