WORKSHOP FOR PRIMARY STUDENTS

A workshop was organized in the school auditorium on 16th January, 2018, to develop reading habits among students in association with scholastic publishers. The resource person for this workshop was Ms. Monisha Gupta, consultant with The British Council, UK, The Times of India, master trainer for Microsoft, and Intel Tech for students and teachers. The aim of the workshop was to create interest in young minds towards gaining knowledge and joy through books. The resource person adopted an interactive and innovative approach for the workshop which engaged the students fruitfully.Her presentation covered aspects such as when, where, how, and why should we read books. She emphasized that reading feeds writing and gave students tips to read and comprehend faster.A worksheet on sign boards was provided to the students, in which correct responses were given by most of the students. The workshop ended with a motivational video on achieving greater heights through reading and learning.The workshop was enjoyed and appreciated by the students and will motivate them to adopt the habit of reading books.
