Class Assembly 1D: Promoting Health and Talent

On 12th July 2023, the students of Class ID at The Khaitan School organized a remarkable assembly that showcased their diverse talents and revolved around the theme – “Eat right and Stay healthy,” in line with the broader theme of the month – “What is on my plate?” The assembly took place at the Amphi-Theatre and was attended by the Head of Junior School (HOJS), Ms. Seema Khurana, and the students of Classes IF and IG, who served as the enthusiastic audience.

The primary objective of the assembly was to provide the students with a platform to hone their public speaking skills, overcome stage fright, and boost their confidence. Additionally, it aimed to encourage interaction among students and teachers, promoting a culture of effective communication and representation of both academic and co-curricular activities.

Class 1D Assembly

The assembly commenced with the comperes, two confident students from Class ID, who warmly welcomed the guests and seamlessly hosted the event. They introduced the theme of the assembly and efficiently guided the proceedings throughout.

To start on a spiritual note, the assembly began with a morning prayer, seeking blessings from the Almighty for a successful and enriching event. Following the prayer, the “thought of the day” centered around the theme, inspiring everyone to contemplate the significance of eating right for a healthy life.

Next, the students shared their classroom learnings from the previous cycle, spanning various scholastic and co-scholastic subjects.

Class 1D Assembly

English In the English segment, students exhibited their eloquence and creativity by confidently reciting poems titled “Things I Can Do” and “The Little Plant.” They skillfully employed correct pronunciation, voice modulation, and expression. Besides, they shared their understanding of why food is an essential aspect of our lives and discussed sentence construction rules and word families.

Hindi The students continued to impress in the Hindi segment, where they recited poems such as “मेरा स्कूल” and “मामा आए, मामा आए” with the perfect balance of voice modulation and expression.

Math The mathematics segment involved students explaining their comprehension of number combinations, highlighting their problem-solving skills.

Music Music resonated through the amphitheater as students melodiously sang the song “Ek Chidiya, Anek Chidiya,” showcasing their musical talents.

Art Students took the audience on a colorful journey by sharing their knowledge of Primary and Secondary colors, illuminating the world of art.

Class 1D Assembly

Taekwondo The students’ energetic performance in Taekwondo left the audience in awe. They demonstrated various moves, including middle punch, upper punch, and lower punch, which they had learned in their Taekwondo classes.

Yoga Promoting physical and mental well-being, the students demonstrated various yoga poses, including Tadasana, Vrikshasana, and Parvatasana, explaining their respective benefits.

Riddles To keep the audience engaged and entertained, students conducted food-related riddles that sparked enthusiasm and active participation.

The assembly was a testament to the hard work and dedication put in by the students and their teachers. It was evident that the learning objectives of the assembly had been successfully achieved. The students not only improved their public speaking abilities but also learned the value of teamwork and communication.

The event concluded on a patriotic note with the entire assembly standing together to sing the national anthem, evoking a sense of unity and pride.
