Empowering Parents: Primary Wing Orientation Program

In the timeless words of Nelson Mandela, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Embodying this ethos of empowerment and enlightenment, The Khaitan School’s Primary Wing recently organized an orientation program for the parents of newly admitted students. Aimed at familiarizing parents with the school’s ethos, programs, and educational approach, the event served as a beacon of guidance and collaboration in the journey of nurturing young minds.

The orientation program commenced with a poignant showcase of a legacy video, illuminating the Khaitan family’s journey and contributions to education. Through this retrospective lens, parents were introduced to a legacy of excellence and commitment to education that has been the hallmark of The Khaitan School.

Central to the orientation was an introduction to The Khaitan School’s core values, emphasizing the importance of holistic development, academic excellence, and character building. Parents were acquainted with the dedicated teams comprising teaching faculty, administrative staff, and support personnel, underscoring the collaborative effort to ensure a well-rounded education for every student.

Insights into the school’s focus areas and curriculum structure were provided, highlighting the emphasis on academic rigor, co-curricular activities, sports, arts, and community engagement. Parents gained a comprehensive understanding of their child’s educational journey at The Khaitan School, designed to foster critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills essential for success in the 21st century.

Addressing the significance of home assignments and assessments, the orientation provided clear guidelines regarding submission timelines and assessment criteria, promoting a collaborative approach between parents and teachers in supporting students’ academic growth.

A highlight of the orientation was the presentation on The Khaitan School’s INSPIRING framework for holistic development. This 9-dimensional approach focuses on nurturing students’ intellectual, social, physical, emotional, and ethical facets, ensuring they emerge as well-rounded individuals prepared for future challenges.

Parents were also introduced to the diverse programs and initiatives offered by the school, including Circle time for interactive learning sessions, general awareness quizzes, the Hunar program for nurturing talents and skills, and the SEEL framework for character development.

Interactive sessions provided parents with the opportunity to engage with school representatives, ask questions, and clarify doubts regarding various aspects of their child’s education and school life. This interactive approach facilitated meaningful communication and strengthened the parent-school partnership.
