Enriching Four-Day Excursion to Manali for Classes IX and X

On the early morning of May 26, a group of 91 enthusiastic students fromClasses IX and X, accompanied by 10 dedicated teacher chaperones, embarked on an exciting four-day excursion to Manali. The trip was led by Ms. Anjana Vashishtha, the Officiating Head of Senior School, and Mr. Himanshu Joshi, the trip incharge.

The journey began at 4:00 AM, with the first stop at Murthal for a hearty breakfast. The group continued their journey with a lunch break en route, finally reaching the picturesque town of Manali at 10:50 PM. After a long day of travel, the students were assigned their rooms and enjoyed a well-deserved dinner before retiring for the night.

Day 2: Embracing Nature and Local Culture


The second day began with a refreshing morning walk to a nearby waterfall, where the students delighted in the lush green valley of Manali. The serene environment set a perfect tone for the day ahead. The group then visited the historic Hadimba Temple, a site of great cultural significance, and later explored the bustling Mall Road. Here, students indulged in shopping, picking up souvenirs and enjoying the local cuisine. The day concluded with a lively DJ night at the hotel, where students danced and celebrated before ending the day with dinner.

Day 3: Adventures in Solang Valley and Beyond


Day 3 saw the students up early and ready by 7:00 AM for an adventurous trip to the Atal Tunnel, Khoksar, and the stunning Solang Valley, located approximately 50 kilometers away. The journey through the Atal Tunnel was a highlight, offering breathtaking views and an unforgettable experience. At Solang Valley, the group enjoyed a picnic lunch amidst the scenic beauty and engaged in various recreational activities. They returned to the hotel by 6:00 PM for refreshments and a well-deserved rest. The evening featured another DJ night, filled with fun and laughter, followed by dinner.

Day 4: Journey Back to Noida


On the final day, the group departed from Manali at 8:40 AM after breakfast. They stopped at Haveli near Chandigarh for a delightful lunch at 2:30 PM and later enjoyed an early dinner at Burger King around 6:30 PM. The journey concluded as the group arrived back in Noida at 11:15 PM. The students were safely handed over to their waiting parents, and the teachers then departed for their respective homes.

A Memorable and Incident-Free Trip

The four-day excursion to Manali was not only enjoyable but also incident-free, thanks to the meticulous planning and supervision by the teachers and organizers. The students had a fantastic time exploring nature, engaging in cultural activities, and bonding with their peers. The parents expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the teachers and organizers for providing such a wonderful and enriching experience for their children.


This trip to Manali has undoubtedly left lasting memories and a deeper appreciation for the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the region among the students of Khaitan School.
