Teachers’ Day was celebrated on 5th September, 2020 to acknowledge and recognize the hard work put in by the teachers towards the development of the young minds.

The Student Council put up a brilliant programme “Metanoia” to express their gratitude and appreciation towards their mentors. Starting with a tribute to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, they enthralled the audience with captivating music, poetry and their acting skills too. The fun-skit “Virtual Staffroom” presented by the Senior Council and the warm and endearing messages of the Junior Council members for their teachers, touched just the right chords

The programme in the evening, “Shaam-e-mehfil” was yet another attraction of the day’s celebration. The engrossing performances of the music and dance teachers, a short but extremely engaging session of ‘mushaira’, exciting fun-games and a humorous enactment of the plight of teachers trying to toe the line, albeit online, were highly appreciated.

The Principal Mrs. Rina Singh acknowledged the immense contribution of the teachers to be the torch bearers even during these difficult times. The celebration ended with the teachers swaying to the tunes of the vintage Pete Seeger number, “We shall overcome”, as a promise to oneself and others, to cross over to the more favourable side of the troubled waters.
