International Yoga Day

Jun 21, 2021

The Khaitan School Noida celebrates International Yoga Day with much enthusiasm every year. This year too we plan to celebrate it on a virtual platform to spread awareness among the students about the importance of Yoga and its effects on human health.

The International Day of Yoga has been celebrated annually on 21 June since 2015, following its inception in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014. Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice which originated in India. The ancient Indian sage ‘Patanjali’   is thought to be the Father of Modern Yoga as he is believed to have codified all the aspects of Yoga into a specific format and introduced Yoga Sutras.

The current pandemic has forced us to mould our lifestyles anew and emphasized the importance of a healthy body housing a robust mind. We hope to enlighten the students about the benefits of practising yoga so that they can follow the regimen regularly and lead a healthy life.
