Literary fervor engulfed The Khaitan School as it celebrated Literary Week, from 22nd July 2019 to 26th July 2019. An initiative started by Mrs. SL Gupta, Director Education to open and widen vistas of communication, it witnessed a plethora of events in English, Hindi, Sanskrit and French.
The main events were English story narration, folk tale enactment, French comic skit, French song, English soliloquy, English skit, Hindi Kavita Vachan and Nukkad Natak and many more. The week ended with the culmination ceremony held on 27 July 2019 in the school auditorium wherein the prize winning events were held. Mr. Sajeev Philip, HOD English department welcomed the guests and stressed upon the efforts of the school in exposing the students to the world of literature through literary activities. Mr. Sudheer Rankari, acclaimed singer, actor & director NSD was the chief guest. In his address, he congratulated the staff, the students on putting up amazing kaleidoscope of literature and complimented the school for giving the children a platform to perform with such confidence and dedication. He stressed on the fact that there was no substitute to hard work and narrate a self-composed couplet to reiterate his belief.He wished that students should be encouraged to create their own self composed drama, poetry or song which sholud not be judged so as to further enhance their creativity.
Mrs. Maulik and Mrs. Jha, parents of the participants were rather overwhelmed seeing their children performing with such self-composure and appreciated the school for tapping their hidden talent. This would surely help them in facing the challenges in times to come.Director Education, Mrs. S.L. Gupta appreciated the efforts put in by the students and teachers and congratulated them for putting up an excellent show.
Principal Mrs. D Kaur complimented the language department and expressed her gratitude to the parents for their co-operation.
