Road Safety Week for children is an initiative aimed at educating and raising awareness among children about road safety and the importance of following traffic rules and regulations. The aim is to prevent road accidents and promote safe and responsible behavior while using roads.
To propagate and advance the cause of safer roads for everyone, the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways observed Road Safety Week from January 11–17, 2023, as part of “Swachhata Pakhwada”.
The students Khaitan School Noida observed road safety week. The activites that the students enthusiastically participated in making posters, creating slogans, and taking a quiz to increase public awareness of traffic regulations.
The primary causes of traffic accidents were the topic of discussion. The teachers played the Road safety videos and and taught the students the road Signs and Traffic Rules. They received instructions on how to cross the road carefully as well as an introduction to road safety terms and safety signals.
The following themes were discussed after a presentation to the class: –
Road safety Dos and Don’ts were also discussed. The kids participated in exercises including slogan writing, quizzes, and pledges to increase their awareness of road safety regulations. The aim of breaking the rules of road safety and the consequences of doing so were also outlined to the kids.
The sensitization will make sure that the young kids are more careful when they are moving on the roads or travelling, and they will grow up to be well-informed and law-abiding students in the future.
