An orientation programme of Class-I for the session 2020-21 was held on 30th and 31st March 2020 for sections A,B,C,D and sections E,F,G,H respectively. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, an online orientation programme was held using ZOOM video conferencing through the internet. Ms. Seema Khurana, Head Mistress, Ms. Sagun Nath, Coordinator Class I and II, Ms. Pooja Ahuja, counsellor and respective class teachers interacted with parents.
A series of orientation powerpoint presentations giving details of pedagogical principles, scholastic and co scholastic domains, events and facilities available at the primary level for students was sent to parents in advance. During the online interaction, the Headmistress gave an insight into teaching methodology and effective usage of latest technological tools, besides state of the art infrastructure and facilities available in the primary wing. Parents were apprised of the plan to initiate virtual learning from 1st April’2020 for students using google classrooms, through which parents can assist their ward to access well designed digital content and engage them in a fruitful manner. They were also guided about the live interactive session with teachers on google meet through which the students can clarify their doubts.
The school counselor gave the parents tips to involve the students in daily activities and discussed the importance of following a regular routine. She also shared the initiative of the school to engage the students in happiness and wellness classes from the current session. In the end, queries raised by the parents were addressed by the Headmistress to the satisfaction of all concerned. The parents appreciated the efforts taken by the school authorities to make effective usage of technology to connect with the students.
