On January 25, 2023, The Primary School Students of The Khaitan School, Noida observed the 74th Republic Day.
As part of the celebration, the students watched a video on Subh Sukh Chain Ki-with auspicious happiness (Anthem of Free India), during which they were instructed to stand in respectful silence as they heard the soulful and patriotic anthem, which gave them a sense of pride in their nation. The students discussed Subhash Chandra Bose and the contribution he made to the struggle for independence from British domination.
Class 1 and Class 2 students celebrated Republic Day at Circle Time in their respective classrooms. They attended the Republic Day Presentation and felt honoured to commemorate the fusion of numerous cultural differences into a single, cohesive whole on this day.
The kids discussed the Republic Day parade they had seen on television and were quite excited about the activities of the holiday. They could recognize the contribution of the young children who had received the Rashtriya Bal Puraskar and the Pradhanmantri Bal Puraskar for their tremendous bravery, talent, innovation, and sacrifice had contributed to the advancement of the nation.
The students were given a written questionnaire and colouring pages related to the ethnic tableaux that were featured in the parade, and they enthusiastically took part in both of these activities. The youngsters could also recognise the differences between this year’s procession and last year’s.
They also took part in a quiz on Republic Day, which increased their knowledge and instilled in them a sense of pride. They learned about the history and importance of the Republic Day and felt incredibly happy and honoured to have been a part of this ceremony and learned about the background and importance of the Republic Day.
