On September 5, 2019, Teacher’s Day was celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm at The Khaitan School. It’s a special day to honour Dr. Radhakrishnan and our beloved teachers for their contribution to the society.
On 4th Sep’19 Pre Primary celebrated teachers day with mothers of the little ones who are the first teachers of the child and greatly influence in shaping and moulding the future of the child. In an hour long programme mothers organised fun filled activities in the classes which included fun games, story narration sessions, song and dance performances which the little ones immensely enjoyed. Mothers thanked the school and were in all praise for engaging them and making them a part of celebration.
On 2 September 2019 the Primary Wing conducted a special assembly to show gratitude, love and respect to their teachers. The assembly started with the floral welcome to Madam Principal and Head Mistress madam by the student council as a token of affection. Along with the thought, news, poem and talk, an entertaining skit was presented by students of Helen-o-Grady to lay emphasis on the respect students should give to their books and the assembly ended on a pledge for Swacch Bharat to inculcate the spirit and zeal for maintaining cleanliness in and around the society.
The Senior Wing held their assembly on 5 September 2019. It started with the rendition of Guru Vandana by the senior choir. Students of Shiwalik House presented a Thought, Amazing Fact and Word of the Day on teachers which were apt for the occasion. Manya Gupta of Class VIII beautifully expressed the importance of teachers in her Hindi poem. Atrayee Chaudhary of class IX presented a talk on Communal Outreach services as part of Swachhta Pakhwada Celebrations. Vice Academics captain Tanishka Khattar of Class XI delivered a talk on the invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping the lives of their students and making them worthy human beings. The music students engrossed the audience with an amazing Sufi Performance. Head Girl Sanjhana H. recited a self composed poem on Teacher Student relationship. Navya and Adwika of Class VIII gave a breathtaking classical dance performance. Students of Class XII rocked the stage with a melodious medley. The council members invited the Principal, Senior Coordinator and Staff Representative for the traditional cake cutting ceremony. They presented a lovely card and bouquet as a token of regard and respect. Principal, Mrs. D. Kaur appreciated the efforts put in by the students to show their gratitude towards their teachers and motivated them with her words. The assembly ended with the rendition of National Anthem.
