From November 1st to 3rd, 2022, The Khaitan School in Noida collaborated with the Indian Oil Corporation to conduct the Vigilance Awareness Week with the theme “Corruption Free India for a Developed Nation.” This annual event, observed during the birth week of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (October 31st), is organized by the Central Vigilance Commission as a way to raise awareness about the dangers of corruption and to promote values of integrity, transparency, and accountability.
With the aim of familiarizing students with these values and teaching them how to prevent and combat corruption in the future, the school organized a series of competitions for students in classes I to XII. One such competition was a painting contest on the theme “Say No to Corruption.” Students were given the freedom to express their thoughts, ideas, and emotions on paper using their imagination and creativity. They used different mediums such as poster colors and oil pastels to showcase their enthusiasm and creativity and make thought-provoking artwork that demonstrated their innovative and intuitive thought processes. The students’ artwork was displayed on the school playground, inspiring everyone with their ideas on making India corruption-free.
