FICCI ARISE CONFERENCE 2019 ‘Future-ready learners and school’

The Khaitan School, Noida participated in the inaugural session of FICCI ARISE CONFERENCE 2019 on education on the theme ‘Future-ready learners and school’ on December 9th 2019 at Dr.Amebedkar International Center, New Delhi. FICCI ARISE aims to take into consideration views from various stakeholders on achieving India’s vision of becoming a knowledge and human resource hub. 89 students and 6 teachers attended the event. The conference was also attended by Mr Vedant Khaitan, Managing Trustee, The Khaitan School, and founder and Managing Director at Khaitan Pre-School.

   The session was addressed by the chief guest of the evening, the Hon’ble Vice president of India – Mr, M.Venkaiah Naidu. The other dignitaries and speakers on the panel were Mr Sandip Somany, President FICCI; Mr Naga Prasad Tummala, Chairperson, FICCI ARISE, and Director -People Combine Initiatives; Mr Naga Prasad Tummala, Chairperson, FICCI ARISE, and Director, People Combine Initiatives; Prabhat Jain, Director -Pathways School; Mr.Dilip Chenoy, Managing Director & CEO of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC);  Mr.Shishir Jaipuria, Chairman & Managing Director – Seth Anandram Jaipuria Education Society; Mr.Manit Jain, Founder and director -The Heritage Schools. 

The session started with an engaging and motivating talk by a 16-year old speaker and a professional in Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence who stressed on the need for introducing a framework for “thinking” and a solution-driven approach in educational institutions. The keynote address was given by Mr Sandip Somany, President, FICCI and the opening speech was given by Mr Naga Prasad Tummala, Chairperson, FICCI ARISE. The Hon’ble Vice President, M.Venkaiah Naidu called for a value-based education system that would work towards ensuring employment, empowerment and enlightenment of individuals and the society. He also called for reforming teaching and training systems to improve learning outcomes. Mr Naidu also reiterated that education should be able to reform, perform and transform by providing proper foundation in schools. He emphasised the need to guide future citizens by equipping young minds with an understanding to face future challenges. 

The students were enlightened, guided and motivated by the powerful speeches made at the event and found the experience as highly enriching.
