Inter House Western Music Competition

On May 10th, 2024, The Khaitan School hosted its highly anticipated Inter House Western Music Competition, an event that showcased the musical prowess and talent of its students. The competition began with great enthusiasm, as participants from various houses took to the stage to perform an array of western tunes.

From the first note, it was clear that the students had poured their hearts into their performances. Each participant confidently and melodiously rendered their chosen pieces, captivating the audience with their vocal and instrumental skills. The energy in the room was palpable, and the audience responded enthusiastically, enjoying every moment of the musical showcase.

The competition was judged by the esteemed Ms. Andrea, who brought her expertise and discerning ear to the event. She was thoroughly impressed by the students’ talent and the unique style each performer brought to the stage. Ms. Andrea commended the participants for their dedication and musicality, noting that their performances made the competition a resounding success.


As the judge deliberated on the winners, the audience was treated to a special beatboxing performance by one of the school’s talented students. This impromptu performance added an exciting and contemporary flair to the event, further showcasing the diverse talents within the student body.

The results of the competition were eagerly awaited, and the final rankings were as follows:

  1. 1st Place – Aravali House

  2. 2nd Place – Nilgiri House

  3. 3rd Place – Meghalaya House

  4. 4th Place – Shiwalik House

Aravali House emerged victorious, earning the top spot with their outstanding performance. Nilgiri House and Meghalaya House followed closely, securing the second and third places respectively, while Shiwalik House rounded out the competition in fourth place.

The event was graced by the presence of Mrs. Anjana Vashishta, Head of Senior School (HOSS), who attended the competition and applauded the efforts of all participants. Her presence added an extra layer of prestige to the event, and her support was greatly appreciated by the students and staff alike.
