Thirty one budding musicians of THE KHAITAN SCHOOL, Noida, got the opportunity to perform at the Itihaas festival held on 12th and 13th October 2019 at Indira Gandhi National Center Of Arts, New Delhi. This fun filled art and cultural event is an initiative by the Itihaas foundation to encourage young students to be appreciative towards the rich culture and heritage of our country through creative and performing arts.
The final round of ITIHAS ANVESHAN-group singing competition on the theme SOUND OF COLOUR saw huge participation from schools all across the country. Students of class ix to xii of The Khaitan School under the UDGAR category qualified for this final round after being selected in the zonals ,that was held in Tagore International School, New Delhi, earlier this year.
Students of THE KHAITAN SCHOOL presented an enchanting and melodious self composed group song which was appreciated and applauded both by the judges and the huge crowd present there. The song with the lyrics ‘ kuch rang tujhme hai, kuch rang mujhme hai, ye rang hum sabko jode hai’ succinctly portrayed the UNITY IN DIVERSITY of our country.
The students also got an opportunity to witness, learn and get inspired from the performers of the other schools and also from the performances of the guest artists. It was indeed a wholesome learning experience for our students.
