The Heritage Education Trip was organised to Neemrana fort, Rajasthan, in collaboration with ITIHAAS, on Saturday, 28th Oct 2019 for the students of class X of The Khaitan School, Noida.
On reaching the fort, the students had a short orientation and briefing about the historical importance of the place jointly by ITIHAAS founder Ms Smita Vats and Fort official, Mr Jaikishan. The students visited and understood the significance of different parts of fort-like Hawa Mahal, Khacha chowraha, Holi Kund, etc. The students were also briefed about the architectural features like chajja, Mehrab, Jharokha, etc.
Sumptuous lunch was served to the students and staff followed by a painting activity where the students drew any architectural feature of the fort. Thereafter a Debriefing session was conducted where the students shared their learnings and observations along with their best moments in the whole experience.
The students had a good exposure to the historical monument and learnt the culture and intricacies of architectural styles of contemporary times.
