Safety on the roads has become a major concern over the years due to increase in population along with traffic on Indian roads. In Delhi –NCR alone, over 2000 persons were killed and 6000 persons were injured in road accident in 2018. As the situation is alarming, the best way to deal with it, apart from enforcing strict laws, is sensitizing people towards road safety.

On similar lines, Road safety week was organised in The Khaitan School,Noida from 14/10/2019 to 20/10/2019 to educate the students on the importance of adhering the traffic rules and spread the awareness on road safety. Painting competition was organised for the students of class VI to X on the above mentioned theme.

Three best entries were selected which are as follows –

  1. Tanisha Sahoo  XD – First
  2. Armaan Dogra  VIIIE – Second
  3. Mannat Raj  VIII D – Third

The event saw a good participation from the students who depicted and emphasised on the importance of road safety on the canvas.
