Students from The Khaitan School, Noida, recently participated in the Adolescent Peer Educators Leadership Orientation Program held at Billabong High International School, Noida, on the 15th and 16th of May, 2024. This two-day event underscored the importance of life skills, health, and well-being.

The orientation program featured a keynote session by renowned psychiatrist Dr. Jitendra Nagpal, who emphasized the significance of the Peer Educator’s Perspective. Dr. Nagpal highlighted how this initiative empowers adolescents to make informed choices, promote healthy attitudes, and develop essential skills to navigate real-life situations positively and responsibly.

Student Participation and Contributions

Several students from The Khaitan School showcased their insights and creativity through various mediums, aligning with the theme “From Self-discovery to Community Leadership: Empowering adolescents to engage in civic responsibilities through acts of justice, advocacy, volunteerism, and compassion.” The participating students included Adwita Vashishtha, Tvisha Aishani Ambastha, Gunishka Nagpal, Agrima Jain, Kanak Verma, and Ayn Sharna. They expressed their thoughts through:

  • Documentary Filmmaking: Highlighting critical issues and potential solutions.

  • Entrepreneurship Projects: Demonstrating innovative business ideas.

  • Advertising Choreography: Creating engaging and informative advertisements.

  • Nukkad Natak (Street Play): Performing socially relevant plays.

  • Newsletter Creation: Developing informative content on various topics.

 

These activities aimed to reiterate the importance of self-discovery, community leadership, and civic engagement among adolescents.
