Six students of The Khaitan School, accompanied by Mrs.Monika Mehta participated in the International RYLA(Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) camp from 22 Jan to 24 Jan,2016 at OP Jindal Global University, Sonipat.
About 600 students of Rotract and Interact clubs from seven countries attended the camp.District Rotary Governor Mr.JK Gaur inaugurated the camp. The chief guest Rtn.Richard A. Baines talked about the opportunities being provided by the Rotary Club to the youth to recognize their talents and be the leaders.
The camp was a fine blend of cultural activities, sports and fun games. Many competitions like basketball, table tennis, badminton, dance, music, stand up comedy and marathon were organized. The EDM night and fashion show were the main attractions of the camp.
Apart from fun and entertainment, special sessions on ‘Youth Leadership”, “Time Management, “Understanding The Mind” and “What Makes A Great Leader” were organized . Our students participated in all the sessions and activities enthusiastically. Avanisha Kapoor of class XI B won first prize in Marathon. Overall it was an informative and fruitful camp which gave a good exposure to our students.
