Itihaas hosted its 12th Annual Summit on 29th January 2020 at India International Centre, New Delhi in an attempt to bridge the existing gaps between heritage and education. The programme was attended by Ms Sutapa Roy and Ms Pooja Singh, from the Social Science Department.
The event started with the welcome address by an Itihaas volunteer. The programme was divided into two parts. The first session had students sharing their experiences with Itihaas followed by a panel discussion attended by Principals of prestigious schools of Delhi on perspectives and challenges in heritage education and tourism.
Post tea session was started by a film on Itihaas and another panel discussion attended by Mr Gaurav Gogai, MP, Lok Sabha, heads of PSUs and corporate houses along with Ms Smita Vats, Director, Itihaas on the topic ‘road ahead for heritage education‘.
The event ended with a cultural performance and a vote of thanks which was further followed by lunch.
