The students of The Khaitan School along with two teachers went to Pondicherry for French educational trip for four days. Since Pondicherry had been a French colony, students went to a local French restaurant, met native French chef and attended a bakery class. They also visited a local school and interacted with the French teacher there.
A heritage walk was organized for the students to visit Sri Aurobindo Ashram founded by the Mother (earlier known as Mirra Alfassa), Manakula Vinayagar temple and Assembly Hall. They visited the white town and observed some spectacular old French buildings.
The students also visited the famous Auroville which is an international city. Watching Matrimandir was an amazing experience. Its design and architecture is unique and awe-inspiring.
The students also went to Mahabalipuram, where they visited several monuments of single stone named 5 rathas, tiger cave, famous Krishna butter ball and shore temple. These were built by the Pallava dynasty in the 7th and 8th centuries.
