On October 14, 2024, an enlightening workshop titled “Higher Studies in the U.S.” was conducted for Class XII students, providing them with invaluable insights into pursuing higher education abroad. The event featured a panel of esteemed resource persons, including Dr. Robert Morley, Director of International Services, Mr. Jason Vignone, Director of Graduate Admissions and Retention, Ms. Sonia Dalmia, Dean of the College of Business, Mr. Mahendra Singh, Country Manager, Mr. Vincent Raja Dasari, CFO of Texas Review, and Ms. Teena Gautam, USA Admission Head at Texas Review.


The workshop aimed to sensitize students about the opportunities at Governors State University (GSU), highlighting its international programs and supportive student services. The speakers shared their expertise on various aspects of studying in the U.S., emphasizing the importance of early planning and realistic goal-setting for students aspiring to further their education abroad.


Dr. Morley initiated the session with an overview of GSU’s commitment to international students, detailing the resources available to help them adjust to campus life and the surrounding community. Mr. Vignone followed, providing insights into the graduate admissions process, explaining how students can enhance their applications and maximize their chances of success.


Ms. Dalmia discussed the diverse academic offerings at the College of Business, outlining how students can find programs that align with their interests and career aspirations.
