To foster experiential learning beyond the classroom, The Khaitan School, Noida organized a three-day educational and recreational tour to Shimla, Kufri, and Naldehra for students of Classes VI to VIII from 26th May to 29th May 2025. This fun-filled journey aimed to promote learning through outdoor interactions, encourage teamwork, and nurture cultural and environmental awareness.
Upon arrival, the group smoothly checked in at the Kufri Pacific Resort, where students were assigned rooms and settled under the careful supervision of their escorts.
The day was packed with exciting activities designed to build communication, creativity, and collaboration:
Aminto: A lively team-building exercise that improved student cooperation and group dynamics.
Lawa Walk: A guided exploration around the resort allowed students to appreciate the natural surroundings and engage in mindful observation.
Charcoal Painting: This hands-on creative session encouraged students to express themselves through art using charcoal as a medium.
Eiffel Tower Challenge: An interactive team-building activity where groups constructed Eiffel Tower models, enhancing their problem-solving and collaboration skills.
Later in the afternoon, students visited Naldehra, soaking in the scenic beauty of the lush green landscapes. The serene environment offered the perfect setting for recreational activities and unwinding after a day of engaging experiences.
The second day began with a morning nature walk, where students observed local flora and fauna, cultivating environmental sensitivity and awareness.
The day continued with visits to several local landmarks:
Kufri Zoo: Students gained insight into the diverse Himalayan wildlife and the importance of wildlife conservation.
Church Visit: A peaceful visit to a historical church in Shimla offered students a glimpse into the region’s architectural heritage and cultural history.
Mall Road: The bustling street life of Shimla came alive as students enjoyed shopping, sampling local treats, and exploring the vibrant market.
Army Museum: An informative visit that inspired students with stories of bravery and sacrifices, enriching their knowledge about India’s military history and values of patriotism.
The evening culminated in a DJ Night and Bonfire Celebration, where students danced, sang, and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to showcase their talents and bond with peers.
The Shimla-Kufri-Naldehra tour proved to be an enriching experience, seamlessly blending education with recreation. Students participated with enthusiasm in all activities, demonstrating growth in leadership, teamwork, creativity, and cultural understanding.
The trip was conducted smoothly and safely, thanks to the diligent efforts of the escort team, who ensured discipline, care, and a memorable experience for all.
