On the 3rd of August 2024, the Grade 6 students of The Khaitan School experienced an enriching journey through time with a visit to the National Gandhi Museum and Library at Rajghat in New Delhi. This educational excursion was more than just a field trip; it was a profound opportunity for young minds to explore the life, work, and contributions of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. Organized as part of their Hindi project titled ‘बहुरूपी गांधी’ (Versatile Gandhi), the visit left an indelible mark on the students, deepening their understanding of India’s history and the principles of non-violence and truth.

Central attractions, such as the Tree of Honesty and Truth and the Children’s Gallery, allowed students to walk back in time and grasp Gandhiji’s life, ideology, and the significance of khadi. These exhibits emphasized the essence of khadi and the importance of the ‘Make in India Campaign,’ inspiring the students to consider their roles as future citizens.
