On August 22, 2024, Rotary International District 3012 organized the District Interaction Leadership Assembly, “Yuva Virajya-DILA 2024,” at Amity University. The event brought together over 700 students from 46 schools across Delhi NCR, creating a dynamic forum for young leaders to connect, learn, and grow.
Among the participating schools, The Khaitan School made its presence felt with 15 interactors who were guided by Ms. Nidhi Bindra. The assembly served as a platform for students to enhance their leadership skills, expand their global perspectives, and draw inspiration from distinguished speakers.

District Governor Rotarian Mr. Prashant Raj Sharma addressed the gathering, delivering an empowering speech that highlighted the essential role of youth in building a just and prosperous future. He also took the opportunity to introduce key initiatives of Rotary International District 3012, such as the “Go Sharpener App,” “Magic of Rotary,” and various Anganwadi programs. These initiatives reflect Rotary’s ongoing commitment to community service and youth development.
Rotarian Mr. Ajay Chauhan, Chair of the District Interaction Leadership Assembly, warmly welcomed the attendees and reiterated Rotary’s dedication to nurturing the leaders of tomorrow. He emphasized the importance of leadership development and the value of international understanding, both of which are critical in today’s interconnected world.
A significant highlight of the event was an insightful lecture on digital safety by cybersecurity expert Mr. Rakshit Tandon. He cautioned students about the risks associated with cyber fraud and the dangers of online gaming. Mr. Tandon urged the young audience to become digital ambassadors by adhering to cyber laws and maintaining a healthy balance between online activities and physical sports.

The assembly also featured vibrant cultural performances by students, adding a festive atmosphere to the event. These performances not only showcased the diverse talents of the students but also fostered a sense of unity and celebration among the attendees.
A particularly proud moment for The Khaitan School came when Mohisha Awasthi, a Class XI student, was appointed as the District Interact Representative (DIR). This achievement stands as a testament to the dedication and leadership potential of the school’s Interact Club members.
“Yuva Virajya-DILA 2024” was a resounding success, leaving participants motivated and better equipped to take on leadership roles in their schools and communities. The event underscored the importance of youth engagement in shaping a better future and reaffirmed Rotary’s commitment to guiding the next generation of leaders.
