The Student Cabinet Election for the academic year 2024-25 at The Khaitan School was conducted with a structured and comprehensive approach to ensure a fair and democratic selection process. The election process consisted of multiple rounds, including the submission of position papers, panel interviews, campaigning, and polling.

The journey began with students submitting applications through a Google form, where they uploaded portfolios describing their achievements and contributions to the school. On 8th July 2024, candidates participated in the first round by writing a position paper to assess their understanding of key issues and their proposed solutions. These papers were evaluated based on clarity of vision, feasibility of proposals, and alignment with the student body’s needs. A committee of faculty members reviewed the submissions and shortlisted candidates for the next round.

Shortlisted candidates then underwent a panel interview on 11th July 2024, conducted by a distinguished panel including Ms. Saswati Halder, Ms. Geetanjali Sharma, Ms. Chitra Kumari, Ms. Nidhi Bindra, Mr. Gaurav Chandra, and all the respective House wardens. Interviews for the President and Vice President roles were conducted by Principal Mr. Sajeev P. Paruvanani, Officiating HOSS Ms. Anjana Vashishtha, and Student Cabinet Incharge Ms. Shifa Nizami. The interviews assessed candidates’ problem-solving abilities, leadership qualities, and communication skills. After the interviews, the panel further shortlisted candidates for the campaigning round.

From 22nd July 2024 to 24th July 2024, candidates engaged in various campaigning activities, including speeches and debates, to present their ideas and visions to the student body and garner support. Campaign events facilitated direct interaction between candidates and students, and the Presidential debate on the motion “Investment in Education Infrastructure Leads to Better Learning Outcomes” was held on 24th July 2024. The campaigning period was marked by active engagement and robust discussions, with candidates effectively communicating their platforms and high student enthusiasm for the election.

On 25th July 2024, a period of silence was observed to allow students to reflect on their choices. The final polling took place on 26th July 2024. Polling stations were set up in all classrooms to facilitate voting, with students casting their votes confidentially and strict adherence to electoral guidelines. The election process was monitored by a dedicated team to ensure fairness and transparency. The polling process was smooth and efficient, and the results were counted and verified by the election committee.

The newly elected cabinet members will be inducted after the investiture ceremony, scheduled for 3rd August 2024. They will be tasked with leading the student body and implementing their proposed initiatives, contributing to the vibrant and dynamic environment at TKS Noida.
