On 14th November 2024, The Khaitan School marked a significant milestone with the launch of the Student Cabinet-led Inclusivity Program, an initiative aimed at fostering an environment of acceptance, diversity, and unity across the school. The program is built on the transformative concept of the 3R’s: Respecting Self, Respecting Others, and Respecting the Environment.
A Vision for Inclusivity
The Inclusivity Program is designed to introduce students to the core principles of inclusivity, emphasizing respect, kindness, and equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of their backgrounds or abilities. The initiative reflects the school’s commitment to nurturing a community that values diversity and encourages mutual understanding.
Student Cabinet in Action
A meeting was held to further discuss the program’s vision and implementation. Attended by the student cabinets of all school wings, the discussion was led by the Senior School Cabinet under the guidance of Principal Mr. Sajeev Phillip and other school heads. This collaborative effort highlighted the active role students play in driving meaningful change within their school community.
Activities and Awareness Campaigns
The program aims to reach every student through thoughtfully designed activities conducted across the Primary, Middle, and Senior Wings. To kickstart the initiative, an awareness-sensitization PowerPoint presentation was shown to students, introducing them to the campaign’s objectives and setting a strong and impactful tone for the movement.
