The 2nd Inter-School Roller Skating Championship 2024-25, held on 9th and 10th May 2024 at Cambridge School, Greater Noida, was a remarkable event showcasing the prowess and dedication of young skaters. The Khaitan School, Noida, sent a team of 30 enthusiastic participants who competed in various skating categories, bringing home a commendable tally of medals.
In a fiercely contested championship featuring nearly 500 participants from Noida and Greater Noida, our school team displayed exceptional skill and determination. Competing in the Under-04, Under-06, Under-08, Under-10, and Under-14 categories for both boys and girls, the Khaitan School skaters made us proud by winning a total of eight medals: four Gold, three Silver, and one Bronze.
This year marked a significant milestone as it was the first time our team participated in the Under-06 category, securing two Gold Medals. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and talent of our young athletes, who thrived despite the hot and humid weather conditions and the tough competition.
The event began with great enthusiasm, and our skaters quickly adapted to the challenges presented by the championship. The panoramic view of the skating rink, filled with vibrant and energetic young skaters, was awe-inspiring. Each participant gave their best, showcasing their skating skills and sportsmanship.
Coach Rajesh Bhatt played a crucial role in guiding and motivating the students throughout the competition. His expertise and dedication were instrumental in the success of the team. The support from Ms. Sunita Chauhan and two female helping staff members also contributed significantly to the smooth functioning and morale of the team.
Despite the inadequate facilities for junior participants, our skaters performed admirably. The experience not only boosted their confidence but also familiarized them with the competitive environment, preparing them for future challenges.
