On 29th November 2024, the Interact Club of The Khaitan School, in collaboration with the Community Outreach Club, launched a meaningful initiative, Project PINK, aimed at promoting menstrual health and hygiene awareness among underprivileged women and adolescent girls.
As part of the project, seven dedicated members of the Interact Council, accompanied by Teacher In-Charge Ms. Bindu Gupta, visited a slum area in Sector 71, Noida. During the visit, they distributed sanitary napkins along with thoughtful goodie hampers to the women and adolescent girls in the community. More importantly, an informative session was conducted to sensitize them about the importance of maintaining menstrual health and hygiene, addressing common misconceptions and encouraging open dialogue.
In a continuation of the initiative, the school extended its efforts to support its Group D staff. Women from the staff were given hampers containing sanitary napkins and other essentials, alongside a similar educational session on menstrual hygiene and overall well-being.
The initiative highlighted the school’s commitment to fostering community welfare and empowering women with the knowledge and resources needed for a healthier life. Project PINK stands as a testament to the power of collective efforts in creating awareness and driving meaningful change.
Through such impactful programs, The Khaitan School continues to uphold its vision of holistic education that transcends the classroom, instilling values of compassion, responsibility, and social contribution among its students.
